Danica Patrick hauler involved in interstate accident *update* MERCHANDISE HAULER
Details are emerging slowly, but pictures are slowly trickling in from the scene of an apparent wreck between the hauler of Danica Patrick, and another semi-truck on the interstate (location yet to be released). Picture after the jump.
Very few details are out there, all we have so far is a cell phone picture from a passing motorist.
We will provide updates as we get them.
UPDATE 10:37am: According to Jeff Gluck (@Jeff_Gluck), the hauler in question is actually her merchandise hauler and does not contain any actual racing equipment. Everyone move along.
UPDATE 6/9/12 11:23am: Got a message from a web visitor that the accident took place on I-80 in Western Pennsylvania. The police report said that John Cole, drive of the truck that hit the Patrick trailer, did not realize the hauler and other traffic had slowed down due to an approaching construction zone. Cole was transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment of moederate injuries. Driver of the Patrick hauler, Guy Chappell and passenger Heather Savedge were transported to Clarion Hospital as well for treatment of minor injuries.
