Brad Keselowski is an American stock car racing driver. He currently competes full-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 2 Ford Mustang GT for Team Penske. He is the son of Bob Keselowski, nephew of Ron Keselowski, and brother of Brian Keselowski. In addition to driving, Keselowski owned Brad Keselowski Racing, which completed in the NASCAR Truck Series from 2007-2017.
The big break for Keselowski was in 2007, when Germain Racing tabbed him as a substitute driver for the suspended Ted Musgrave. Keselowski’s run impressed Dale Earnhardt Jr, who signed him to drive for his JR Motorsports team starting in 2008. He was on the fast track to the Cup Series with Hendrick Motorsports, running two races later in the year. The original plan called for Keselowski to split the number 5 Chevrolet with Mark Martin, who was to run the full 2009 season before scaling back. Despite Keselowski capturing a surprising win at Talladega with Phoenix Racing, Martin had a career year in 2009 and the original plan was scrapped.
Having proved himself in the Xfinity Series and no ride in the Cup Series, Keselowski left JR Motorsports/Hendrick Motorsports and joined Team Penske. Running both in Xfinity and Cup, Keselowski won the 2010 Xfinity Title with six wins.
In 2011, Keselowski was moved into the number 2 Miller Lite car, swapping rides with Kurt Busch who would now drive the 22 Shell/Pennzoil car. He picked up three wins in his first year in the 2 car, then the championship in 2012.
