Career Overview

Leveraging a successful off-road racing career, Brendan Gaughan broke in the NASCAR ranks in the Truck Series beginning in 2001. After coming up just short in the title, Gaughan signed with Team Penske and sponsor Kodak for the 2004 season. This would be his lone full season in the Cup Series and four top-10s finishes was not enough to keep his seat. He would be replaced by Travis Kvapil for the 2005 season.

From there Gaughan bounced between Trucks and the Xfinity Series, making select starts in the Cup Series along the way. Since 2017, he has driven for Beard Motorsports, which is where he primarily races since retiring from full time competition in any series.
