Danica Patrick is a retired American racing driver. She drove in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2012-2018, making 191 career starts.
Prior to NASCAR, she found success in the IndyCar Series, winning once (Japan 2008), capturing three pole positions, and seven podium finishes.She was named the 2005 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year and IndyCar Series Rookie of the Year. Between 2005 and 2010, she was voted the IndyCar Series Most Popular Driver.
After running a partial Xfinity Series schedule in 2010 and 2011, Patrick ran one full-time season in 2012, capturing one pole position and four top-10 finishes and was voted the Xfinity Series Most Popular driver. She moved to the Cup Series full-time in 2013 and collected one pole position and seven top-10 finishes along the way.
After running the 2018 Daytona 500, she retired from NASCAR. Later that year she ran the Indianapolis 500, which marked her final race in any series.
