Mark Beard started the organization in 2014, but after not racing for a few years came back to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2017 running the restrictor plate races at Daytona and Talladega.

12/21/2019Brendan Gaughan announces he will retire from NASCAR competition after the 2020 season. For 2020, he will drive the four restrictor plate races in the #62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet. (SiriusXM Radio)

04/27/2019Tyler Reddick qualified the #62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet at Talladega for Brendan Gaughan. Gaughan was attending his son’s communion and will race the car Sunday.
