Joe Gibbs Racing

History

Joe Gibbs Racing was formed in 1991 by former Washington Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs. The team debuted in 1992 and has won four NASCAR Cup Series championships (2000, 2002, 2005, and 2015).

10/22/2019 – NASCAR has fined Chris Gayle, crew chief for Erik Jones and the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, for $10,000 for a lug nut not properly installed following the race at Kansas (Press Release)

10/19/2019 – NASCAR has ejected a team engineer for Martin Truex Jr and the #19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, after the car failed pre-qualifying inspection twice at Kansas. The team will also forfeit 15 minutes of practice time at Martinsville, the next race on the schedule. (Press Release)

10/08/2019 – NASCAR has fined Chris Gabehart, crew chief for Denny Hamlin and the #11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, for $10,000 for a lug nut not properly installed following the race at Dover (Press Release)

10/05/2019 – NASCAR has ejected a team engineer for Martin Truex Jr and the #19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, after the car failed pre-qualifying inspection twice at Dover (Press Release)

09/21/2019 – NASCAR has penalized Erik Jones and the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota for failing post-race inspection at Richmond Raceway. As a result, he has been disqualified and moved from 4th to 36th in the final results.(Press Release)

09/18/2019 – NASCAR has fined Adam Stevens, crew chief for Kyle Busch and the #18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, $10,000 for a lug nut not properly installed following the race at Las Vegas (Press Release)
